Pond and Beyond

This snap exhibits the lush green vegetation, was taken on the way to Bheemeshwari. Where else can one find an exuberant sight other than South India. My eyes get tired seeing the abundant greenery in this particular snap. The mistness over the mountain perplexed me.

In the glass

I dont know the exact name of this fruit, but grows in abundance at my home. My main purpose here was to vary the shutter speed and experiement with the flowing water, instead I landed up with still water and these fruits in them. However the water added a decent enough background to showcase these fruits.

Cluster of Flowers

The luxuriant display of colours in these flowers is breath taking. It was another combination which I tried, this time using many flowers than a monoflower.

The House

The first day I arrived in Nainital, I was shivering, I had lost the feel of a North Indian winter after migrating South for past few years. I realised it then how much I had missed it. The place where we stayed gave a panoramic view of the Naini peak on the left, the lake in the centre and few beautiful houses lined up on the right. This house just lay a level below my room, I must mention here, that on a hilly terrain the houses are lined up in steps, one elevated over the other. This house had a striking green embellishment at the edge of its roof. For that matter, I feel that there need not be something striking to shoot or make a photo interesting, any object would do.

Sunflowers

I am back again with my favourite colour( same as the Lilies), this colour does fascinate me, its vivid, bright and cheerful. This arrangement was a more advanced approach to shooting flowers. I used a bunch of sunflowers and various kinds of combinations, placing them near the window, on the dining table, near the kitchen sill, on the floor and lots more. The outcome was the best when placed besides the window. Thats the beauty of digital photography, one has ample scope to experiment. And there's nothing better than this way to learn. For sure this was a satisfying picture after spending one whole afternoon over this composition.

Naini Lake

This snap was taken on my last vacation, first time I was using my camera beyond the premises of my home. Nainital revolves around this lake, the view of the lake is accessible from anywhere in the town . This particular photo was shot from the Naini Peak.I snooped around to capture the view of the lake, but this particualar angle gave the best shoot .It reminds me a lot of the lake in koi Mil Gaya, wonder if its the same one.

Humming Bird

Its very difficult to photograph birds. When we have plants as our subject, you would be sure that they wont move. Birds are an entirely different experience all together, by the time you make up your mind for one pose and adjust your camera, the pose would already be lost. This little bird was especially very notorious, however the most thrilling one to shoot perhaps.

Sunlit Lilies

This is the my favourite pic in this series. These flowers grow next to my house, and the most exiciting thing about these flowers was its colour(reminds me of lemon). The arrangement was kept simple, two lilies and the window side. The highlight is created by the soft afternoon sunlight thrown in from the window.

First Macro Photo

This pic is very dear to me, it was the first close-up snap i ever took, and believe me i was amazed to see the possibilites which my camera could hold. Ever since i have been hooked to it. I must admit here, i may not be good at describing my photos but i would let my photos make up for that.
