Experiment with Desaturation

Here's one of the simplest tutorial i have come across on experimenting with mono colour in PS...and here's the attempt's result. Usually with photos like this, i am stuck and dont find an interesting engagement there...this did help.

Sparkling water

This shot is an attempt to freeze water using an extremely high shutter speed, i used an exposure of 1/1000th of a sec. Since the shutter speed need to be extremly high, flash is necessary, which also added a sparkle to water here....looks like to my hand too.

I took this shot using a slow shutter speed and then inverted the colours. That red is actually blue.

Engine

Shot on the way to Delhi, on a highway resort. These people really bought an old engine as an exhibit! I have tried my hands at editing the image in Photoshop, as an amateur attempt...does look exciting with huge potential, I am yet to explore it in full.

Fort Hill Trek

|
This weekend had lots in store. Initially I was a bit hesitant when asked by a friend to company her for Fort Hill Trek .Its amongst the Nandi Hill range,60 kms off Bangalore.

I reluctantly gave in, thinking its going to be an uneventful and another boring trek. But the outcome was not as anticipated. The trek was not a mere test of physical endurance but mental endurance too.Obviously, reaching the top serves as the greatest motivating factor but the journey as the saying goes turned out to be more important than the summit.

Having attended the Fort Hill Trek throws light to simple but crucial perceptivities. It is extremely important to break the monotone of everyday life. We donot seem to realise how monotone can dampen us unless we break it. Going for exertion, when one can laze around and catch up with more sleep on a weekend seems impalpable. But believe me, these exertions really help, I came back loaded with more energy and zeal for everyday life.

This image comes with heavy post processing, mainly to accentuate the orange sky. I tipped the camera to capture its reflection in the solar water heater.

Glow

This picture is an attempt to capture a set of glowing LEDs(my modem) with a moving camera. My inspiration lied with this blog [Camera Toss]. It's a beautiful experience all together to use a moving camera to capture these images. Will be experiementing more with this option.

An Insight

|
Today I came across some beautiful insights; I have truly started believing in the fact that eccentricity is not wrong. Infact the greatest discoveries, a whole lot of inventions happened because people were eccentric, unconventional. They had the courage to question the conventions, think out of box, look at things their way, and basically go about doing what felt right. I believe only 1 percent or even lesser of population actually do that, oh how could it be, how can people just follow the rules and conventions and not question them.

Stuck to Lal Bagh

|
I must say its been weeks and weeks of adventure at Lal Bagh. Most of the snaps here are the outcome of Lal Bagh trips on Sunday mornings with friends.I have tried to ameliorate from the previous trips, hope it reflects in the photographs too. I do want to photograph other themes, other places, but Bangalore hardly has enough options. Well, no how can I say that, I must agitate my creativity pursuit, for art dwells everywhere. I would call forth that in future and would come back with more and better pics.
